In Arandjelovac, from 1 to 3 April 2025, DHBA Serbia, DBDH and SVUT organized a visit of the Danish District Heating Sector to Arandjelovac, Serbia 10th Seminar and Workshops (guests from the Swiss District Heating Sector).
The meeting was attended by a record number of participants, namely 123 registered, with the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Serbia, the Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Serbia and representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Serbia.
The expert meeting held represented an important platform for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and ideas among relevant stakeholders in the field of energy, with a special focus on the district heating sector. During the meeting, new perspectives were opened regarding the decarbonization of this sector, which is increasingly recognized as key to achieving the goals of sustainable development and energy transition.
The participants agreed that improving the efficiency and environmental performance of the district heating system can be achieved through the integration of innovative technologies, such as renewable energy sources, smart management systems and heat storage solutions. The discussions indicated the need for strategic planning, cross-sectoral cooperation and the creation of conditions for the successful implementation of modern solutions.
In addition, the meeting emphasized the importance of educating and informing the public, as well as strengthening institutional capacities, as a prerequisite for the successful transformation of the district heating sector in accordance with the principles of sustainability and climate neutrality.
